2030 Big, Bold, Meaningful Goals
Alsco Uniforms® is committed to reducing energy usage and carbon emissions. We work with employees, customers, and suppliers to exceed environmental standards. In partnership with EECA, we’ve adopted initiatives like New Zealand’s first long-distance EV freighter, a wood-pellet boiler, and consolidated two plants into one efficient facility.
With EECA’s help, we aim to reduce energy use by 2 GWh, equivalent to powering 18,000 EVs. In 2018, we set four bold sustainability goals for 2030.

Alsco Uniforms® is a leader in promoting low-carbon services and products, supporting the global shift toward a net-zero carbon economy. Our sustainability initiatives span across carbon emissions reduction, renewable energy adoption, water and waste management, and electric vehicle integration.

Repurposing: Giving Goods a Second Life
At Alsco Uniforms®, we’re proud to support over 80 charitable organizations both locally and internationally. Through our dedicated volunteer Alsco Uniforms® Ambassadors, we give goods like sheets and first aid kits a second life, reducing waste and supporting those in need.
Giving Something Back: Restoring Waterways
In early 2017, Alsco Uniforms® partnered with the Million Metres Streams Project to help restore New Zealand’s waterways. Led by the Sustainable Business Network (SBN), with support from Alsco Uniforms® and DOC, the project aims to replant one million meters of waterways by 2026.
